Whoo-Whoo... did an Owl Pellet Dissection?

We did!

We took over Abby's "Science Lab" and left a very big mess apparently :)

But I did clean it up today... which totally reminded me that I never posted about it!

Karl had the kiddos put on gloves and each child worked on a paper plate since there isn't a dissection "tray" included.  But there are tools.

We opted to get the "real" pellets after reading poor reviews from people that bought man-made pellets with polymer "bones."

I am so glad we got the real ones!

We found bones right away.

Elijah found remains of a bird.  Here you can see the entire skull...

Charlotte had the remains of a rodent.  And this is the "lovely" view she had while cleaning it off...

Kinda cool... kinda creepy, all at the same time!

You pretty much summed it up -- cool and creepy. We've done this. It's fascinating, isn't it?
My Sprite started out with two pairs of tweezers, but as time went on, she was using her bare hands. :-)
