A Simple Woman's Daybook Oct. 25,10

FOR TODAY, October 25th, 2010

Outside my window...
It is dark now... and cold.  It rained on and off today.
Summer is definitely, officially over.

I am thinking...
about the weekend I had, all that the Lord has done in life, and all that He is currently doing.
I want, always, for my satisfaction to be in Him.

I am thankful for...
an overnight stay at a bed and breakfast, first by myself, and the next night alone with my hubby.
It was precious time.

From the learning rooms...
since two of the kids were sick last week, we are taking Week 7 over this week and next.
Nice and easy... slow and steady.
T-t Turtle-- we are persevering ;)

From the kitchen...
a lot of dishes waiting to be washed.

I am wearing...
gray slacks, a pink tee, and a gray and black striped sweater over.
My feet are uncovered and cold (brrrr.....)

I am creating...
a new cowl for a sweet friend at church.  We don't know each other well but I so admire her sweet, humble spirit and her kindness.

Here is a sneak peek... she wanted gray and I chose a cross-stitch "chain"...

I am going...
to take time and be refreshed in my home, with my family.

I am reading...
No novels currently.  I want to do a study about friendship with God and will devote my time to that.

I am hoping...
for wisdom about things to prune.  It's that time of year and my heart and mind are ready.

I am hearing...
Elijah's nebulizer and his Star Wars game on his DS that he only plays when doing his neb :)

Around the house...
I'm wanting to re-organize some spaces that don't work effectively.  Particularly the "dining room" which is an office of sorts.  It's a clutter magnet and eyesore-- yuck.

One of my favorite things...
having a perfectly timed conversation with a girlfriend to help sort out my jumbled thoughts.
Thank you Kim :)

A few plans for the rest of the week:
Orthodontist check-up for Abby, the piano tuner is coming Thursday, and my last week of soccer mom duty!  I survived :D  Ah... but I just realized Nutcracker rehearsal starts Saturday.  Here we go...

See you next week :)
