I'm Finally Out of My Pajamas!

For those that follow the Midnight Chats, you know that I'm usually in front of my fireplace in my jammies.

Well this past weekend, while some of you were at Relevant '10 (having an incredible time I hear),
I was off doing something special too.

I had the honor of speaking at our church's women's day retreat.

What's funny is that we had our event at an Inn and the room was arranged so that I was...

in front of the fireplace!

It was so awesome... it felt like a "live" Midnight Chat," even though it was the middle of the day.

Wouldn't it be so awesome if we could all be together for a women's retreat??

Oh wait, I guess that's what Relevant was about.  Maybe next year??

Anyway, even though the sessions were long (in online terms) I wanted to share them here because these two topics are near and dear to all our hearts--

dishes and laundry!

Yup, you read correctly :)  Years ago the Lord revealed Himself to me in dishes and laundry and doing those ordinary tasks have never been the same.

Adds a whole new meaning to "create in me a clean heart."
Session #1: "Dishwashing"

Session #2: "Laundry"

I'm 10 minutes into "Diswashing" (you know it will take me a while...) BUT, I wanted to say that you have a gift. You do.

I want to go to Relevant next year too...but if we don't, I will just come to your house, and listen to you talk, OK?!

Thanks for sharing! I am still listening to "Dishwashing", too. It's a new spin on a familiar scripture that gets me excited! I will think of you the next time I am washing dishes, but thinking of God's cleansing, too.

I haven't had a chance to listen to all of your talk yet, Lainie, but I just HAD to tell you that you have a gift from the Lord! The way you speak, teach and the insights that God gives you are truly amazing.

Is it weird that hearing you talk about the names of dish soap gave me goose bumps?

Thanks so much for sharing that! It was great :) Such a good reminder to let the Lord have his way in my heart.

Looking for something??
