Up For Air

Wow... the last two weeks have been so busy I haven't had a chance to catch my breath.

But now, {{{pant, pant}}} here I am (seeing a beautiful, sunny day unfold) desiring to get some order into my brain.

Bullet points are good for order in my world and seem to be the easiest way to share...

• Except for a few math lessons, we finished our Rome to Reformation year!!
Wowee, kazowee what a year. We learned a ton and are already looking forward to getting into U.S. history this Fall.

• I attended my first EVER homeschool convention/conference.  I didn't attend any workshops.  Instead I helped out at the My Father's World booth.  I'm surprised the earth is still rotating because a significant event happened in history... I exceeded my word limit!  I talked for 10 hours straight :)  By the time I got home after that first day, all I could do was nod.

I did meet lots of wonderful women and I got to see friends from my MFW family.  All-in-all it was a pretty good deal :)

• Our bible study group finished our Part One study for the Book of Hebrews.  Talk about learning endurance.  It was a good, challenging, faith-strengthening study and we did it!

• The girls had their Spring/Summer violin recitals.  I was so touched by their duets.  I hadn't heard them practice together and was totally teary when I heard them play together.  So sweet... *sniff*

• The girls also had the ballet performances.  The theater presented, "Puss In Boots, " and the girls were leaves and snowflakes :)  Everyone did a great job!

• The kitchen white board has been taken down which marks the official beginning of our summer break.  I have sewing projects to work on and de-cluttering to accomplish, but I am hoping our tempo will slow dramatically and we will have many "lazy days of summer."

I hope you are doing well and would love to hear what you're up to!

I don't know who to credit for this picture :(

This picture makes me want a real tire swing!

I want to be swinging in the tire taking turns...all by myself preferably...

Have a good summer vacation doing nothing :)

Well, I don't know what convention you attended, but whoever was at GHEA in the MFW booth probably talked to me for 2 hours and she was so patient and nice about it!

Can't wait to get started on our MFW school year!
