Haiku Practice

Wednesday the children will be writing a haiku and I thought I would practice writing one myself.

Briefly, haiku is Japanese poetry consisting of a three line poem about something in nature.
The first line has five syllables, the second has seven syllables, and the third has five syllables.

Tree buds flowering.
New blossoms fresh, wet, and pink.
Spring is coming soon.

Do you want to try too?  Give it a shot :)

My comment is first.
Attempted haiku for you,
Do you think it's good?

Nature, it must be?
We saw hailstones fall from sky.
White pebbles, like snow.
