Pause and Ponder-- Twelve : Ten

Job 12:10

In whose hand is the life of every living thing,
And the breath of all mankind?

"In whose hand..."

"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me;
and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish;
and no one will snatch them out of My hand.
"My Father, who has given them to Me,
is greater than all;
and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.
"I and the Father are one."

John 10:27-30

"... is the life of every living thing,"

"The God who made the world and all things in it,
since He is Lord of heaven and earth,
does not dwell in temples made with hands;

nor is He served by human hands,
as though He needed anything,
since He Himself gives to all people
life and breath and all things;

and He made from one man every nation of mankind
to live on all the face of the earth,
having determined their appointed times
and the boundaries of their habitation,

that they would seek God,
if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him,
though He is not far from each one of us;

for in Him we live and move and exist,
as even some of your own poets have said,
'For we also are His children.'

Acts 17:24-28

"...and the breath of all mankind."

Then the LORD God formed man of dust from the ground,
and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life;
and man became a living being.
Genesis 2:7

By the word of the LORD the heavens were made,
And by the breath of His mouth all their host.
Psalm 33:6

Let everything that has breath  praise the LORD.

Praise the LORD!
Psalm 150:6

I needed to read this today. Thank you for posting this.

"that they would seek God,
if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him,
though He is not far from each one of us;"

I certainly need to be more diligent about seeking God. I often times think of Him as very far away or that I've lost my salvation in some way...I posted about that a little bit today and then i read this blog and it was a good reminder "he is not far from each one of us". Anyway, your post moved me so thank you.
