Another Used Book Store Score

I wish I could remember what blog I saw it on so I could link to her.

Anyway, one of you very helpful moms reminded me about a series of books that are recommended for our studies of composers. She had used, hardcover copies that were totally awesome.

I did a search through Amazon and yes, they did have used, hardcover copies--
starting at $35.00 per book!

Uh, I don't think so.

I then remembered a local bookseller that has new and used books (they also do mail orders!) and they specialize in home school curricula.

(To visit Exodus books online, click on the above picture)

Exodus Books not only carried the books but they are hooked-up with the publisher that is currently printing them.

I picked up the three composers we're studying this year...

The books are by--

Here is a peek inside the Haydn book--

Besides the very sweet illustrations, they have printed the composer's music--

Here are the other two I picked up--

I purchased Haydn and Beethoven 'new' since they did not have any used copies in stock.
Each was $12.95. The Mozart was 'used' but looked as new as the other two. I got that copy for $9.

While I was there I discovered they were having a used book sale so I also picked up these for general reading--

I also found this little beauty that will come in handy as we enter into the Middle Ages--

I also came home with a random collection of books that I picked up for as little as $.50!

I think I'll head over there again and do a little Christmas shopping...

I love Exodus and was just there last week to pick up some books for school after the first of the year. I got a bunch on clearance on top of the sale price, so I walked out one happy mama. :)

Very cool! I haven't been to Exodus yet, although I've heard good things. A field trip may be in order...:)

I love Exodus as well. Although since we stopped homeschooling I haven't been out there, but I think I'll head over there for some book ideas for Christmas. You scored!

I love books! The only thing is that I never read a book more than once (well, except for a couple of books)... and yet I have a hard time letting go of them. I enjoy being surrounded by them-- the feel, smell and look of them. I need my own personal library-- one that has that cool ladder and maybe a big dome with a painted ceiling!

Looking for something??
