FOR TODAY...October 19th, 2009

Outside my window... still dark, the sun isn't up yet...

I am thinking... about my First Love-- excited for revival and passion in my heart and my life that will hopefully ignite hearts close to me.

• that we've actually come to the week of our movie premiere. It feels strange... so much work, heart, prayers, and sweat have gone into this project. It was all so unexpected. We have learned so much and will never forget this experience.

• about practical things that need attention. Our home is in "money pit" stage. We are prioritizing and taking care of things one at a time. **sigh** It is a long process but we are grateful for the Lord's provision to do the most urgent/important.

I am thankful for... being able to gather with women from our church fellowship on Saturday morning. I was so blessed... it was such a sweet, rich time.

I am wearing... a white tank and my jammie bottoms. I'll shower as soon as I'm done here :)
I don't know if this qualifies as a "wearing" but I treated myself to a pedicure Saturday and now my toenails are purple with white polka dots--hee hee

I am remembering... how faithful the Lord has been in my life. He and I have had an incredible journey so far.

I am going... to get a haircut today (yippee) and glasses adjusted tomorrow (so exciting), in addition to our usual lessons etc...

I am One Year Bible (morning), Footsteps of the Flock (before bed) and continuing to work through my grammar book :)

I am hoping... that everything comes together smoothly on Friday and Saturday, that lots of people come and are blessed but mostly that the Lord comes back soon.

I am praying... for a few friends, the readers of this blog and for myself... that the Lord would not only be present in each "room" of my heart but in every closet, every drawer and every hidden space.

Noticing that... November is right around the corner! How'd that happen?

From the kitchen... my sourdough starter is ready today!! I've been "feeding" it every day for the last seven. I can't wait to bake some bread!

I'm going to mix-up some salad dressing with the homemade buttermilk (yum) from last week.

Dinners this week: Monday (Nana's making torta), Tuesday- Adobo, Wednesday- Chili, Thursday- fish of some sort and Friday-per request of The Captain, Chicken Devan again. Apparently, he didn't get his fill of it :)

Around the house... so much to do... finish up the laundry for the week, a good dusting and vacuum (or should I say, "Dust removing"-- Have you ever read Amelia Bedelia? She's funny).

One of my favorite things~ cuddling with my kiddos at night.

I had to come back and say this is one of my new favorite things: the homeschool toolbar (for your web browser), check it out here:

From my picture journal...

Four more days until I can unpack my brain... it's getting full in there!

I sure hope you guys have a blessed week!
Thank you for all the encouragement last week--
I sure needed it. Good timing :)

May the Lord bless you and keep you...

Every girl needs to at some point paint their toe nails. Mine have not seen polish for quite some time. They stay hidden in socks! Have a wonderful week!

Angela, if you can send away or find locally buttermilk culture it is soooo easy to make!

Daddy's Chick... I hope you have a good week too!

Michelle, I love wearing warm socks but for some reason I can't have anything on my feet when I sleep. My hands are too busy for the nails to look nice but I like to have toes be purdy :)

Kristy thank you so much for the encouragement! You are a sweetheart. I hope you have a blessed week too :)

Annie--what can I say... love you sweetie ;)
