For Today, Monday September 28th, 2009...

Outside my window... it is very dark! We have a busy day tomorrow and I thought I would do my daybook entry while waiting for the dryer to finish.

I am thinking... about how amazing God is and that He can and does work spectacular things in our lives once we make up our minds to stay out of the way!

I am thankful for... eyes that see, ears that hear, a heart that beats and the Lord that created me.

I am wearing... jammie bottoms with hot-air ballons on them and a white tank.

I am reading... actually re-reading Hinds Feet on High Places. It's been a few years.

I'm also reading The Singapore Math Home Instructor's Manual I borrowed from Kim.
FYI-- Reading a math book before bed makes for weird dreams. Just sayin'.

I am hoping... that I can explain rules of divisibility to Brigitta tomorrow in a way that she can understand.

I am creating... should be creating the wedding invites. I finally got the last of the info I need and now it's a matter of printing. I had hoped to do this last week but alas, they are still sitting and waiting to be done.

I am praying... for strength and stamina for myself and Leisl. This sinus thing we've had is sucking the energy right out of us.

Around the house... The laundry is already half finished for the week and I did manage to clean off the kitchen counters this weekend. There is still lots to do with assessing everyones clothes for Fall and Winter and things I'd like to re-organize.

From the kitchen... I did in fact clean my oven last week so yea for me!
Monday we are having pot roast and salad. I'm at a loss for what else to cook these days :(

We just had tacos. If you have any good ideas for dinner this week leave them in the comments! I'm desperate for ideas right now :)

One of my favorite things...discovering there are rules of divisibility to help learn factors!

Oh my. I only knew about the rules for 2, 5 and 10. I didn't know they had rules for the rest of the numbers.

A few plans for the rest of the week... Nothing out of the ordinary... at least I don't think so!

Here is a picture thought I'm sharing with you...

My daughter took this and there is just something about it that appeals to me.

Have a wonderful week everyone and please, leave me any dinner suggestions you have! :)

I would love to hear them as well. We are eating Tacos tonight. I'm pretty sick of them. We eat them atleast once a week. UGH.

Well, next time you are at a loss, and you can't think of ANYTHING except for tacos and cringe at the thought... Instead of the corn or flour tortilla shells, think pasta shells and create a casserole of sorts! I boil a pot of small shells (or other noodles) while I am browning the hamburger and adding the taco seasoning. Add in a can of dark red kidney beans to the browned burger. Make it a little bit runnier than for a taco and add some shredded cheddar cheese. Drain the pasta and pour in the taco meat mix. Stir and serve with a sprinkling of cheddar and some crushed corn chips. (We happen to like taco flavored doritos or the regular nacho cheese flavor!)

If you are just sick of the taco flavor... Ground Beef Stroganoff, Stir-fry of any kind, meatloaf, a big pot of chili, spaghetti?? Anything striking a chord here for you?!?! Good luck!

Love that picture by your daughter!!

Oh the what's for dinner dilemma. I think we all go through those phases..enchiladas, roast chicken with veggies, pot pies, pasta casserole with fresh veggies mixed with sour cream/heavy cream/herbs and cheese...

Hoping you feel 100% soon!

My saving grace for dinner is allrecipes.com. I have used many of the crock pot meals - my family LOVES the easy and delicious chicken. We make it low-fat for using low fat cream cheese and fat-free soup. Hope that helps!
