A Simple Woman's Daybook

For Today, Monday September 14th, 2009...

Outside my window... there were a family of deer and a bunch of quail. Definitely not my usual view.

I am thinking... of what an awesome weekend it has been. We look forward to coming to Wildhorse every year but this year I was tired and actually didn't want to come. Once I realized I didn't want to come I knew it was going to be really good and pushed on. It was great and I'm...

I am thankful for... being out there this weekend with my family and especially with the Lord. I had a much needed time of one-on-one with Him and I feel refreshed and ready to greet this new school year (finally). I'm thankful His mercies are new every morning and that I am one of His recipients.

I am wearing...Running shorts and a running shirt for the long ride home.

I am reading... Footsteps at night, my teacher's manual here and there and portions of Jeremiah recently.

I am hoping... that we all get settled into our school routine quickly. We are out of practice :)

I am creating... paper models of body parts for school! So fun!!

***I never finished this entry on Monday, it's now Tuesday and we're home sweet home :)***

I am praying... for Ann's dad that just had surgery, a gal at the Captain's clinic and for our children.

Around the house... I seem to have lots of paperwork that needs dealing with and books the need to be reorganized.

From the kitchen... Bread just came out of the oven and we're having meatloaf tonight.

One of my favorite things...smoothies! I love having a Vita-Mix now. It makes making smoothie a snap!

A few plans for the rest of the week... We are jumping into life... ballet started Monday, violin, eye therapy, soccer for the boy in addition to a full school year. Yup, it's Fall :)

Here is a picture thought I'm sharing with you...

Maramec Springs in Missouri-- the whole place was awesome and I can't wait to go back and share it with my family :)

I love to use my Vitamix to make strawberry ice cream! Mmmmmm... the only way my husband would eat strawberries. So we eat ice cream for his health. :)
