For Today, Monday August 3rd, 2009...
Outside my window... it continues to be hot and dry. I'm grateful it isn't still 107º--that was a bit too much.
I am thinking... about scenes and shots and editing. Our little film project is occupying a large chunk of my brain right now.
From the learning rooms... I thought I would be prepping for the year but that isn't going to happen for a few more weeks.
I am thankful for... all the support and encouragement we are receiving in regards to the project. It's been so awesome to see other people excited about what we're doing and wanting to help out or simply say, "Good job!" It makes the long days a joy instead of a drudge.
I am wearing...a long plaid boho-ish skirt, turquoise tank, white sweater over top and flip flops.
I am reading... the usual at night and now I will be reading an arm full of books about filmmaking that Papa was kind enough to pick-up from the library today.
I am hoping... for a nice long nap?!
I am creating... wedding invitations, a movie, props like a fake book, etc..
I'm on "create" overload at the moment.
I am praying... for my brother and several other people that are on my heart.
Around the house... well let's see... all the stuff from our "library" is currently in the hallway since we turned that room into a fake bedroom (our set). We have costumes, make-up and props everywhere. The dishes never quite seem to be caught up. No chance of winning any Martha Stewart awards this week. Hee hee
From the kitchen... I am trying my first batch of soup in our new Vita-Mix machine. I'm moving on from smoothies :)
One of my favorite things... a large, half-sweet iced annihilator from Dutch Bros. Coffee Company.
A few plans for the rest of the week...the usual ballet and violin for the kids, church on Thursday. This week we are hoping to finish up filming all the scenes we are missing and doing pick-ups for the shots we would like re-done. Then--editing, editing, editing.
Here is a picture thought I'm sharing with you...
A super cheap vase from TJ Maxx and a few flowers on sale at Michael's have made a corner cheery enough to bring a smile to my face every time I walk into the room.
I love the joy simple things bring.
