Why She'll Probably Never Let Us Borrow The Dogs Again

It started out innocently enough...

ring, ring

Me: Hello

Mama Hollioni: Hey, we talked about you guys borrowing the dogs one of these Thursdays.
Do you want one or both today?

Me: Oh, it's a nice sunny day. I'll take both of them. Thanks!

Mama Hollioni: I'll drop them off this morning and pick them up later.

Me: Great!

Please know, the only thing the Mishmash children want is a pet.

It doesn't matter what kind of pet, just as long as it's a pet.

Horse, donkey, cat, dog, ferret, chicken, rock...

Really, all they want is a pet of some sort. So anytime we can borrow one is great.

The dogs showed up and soon Lizzie was wrapped in a blanket like a baby.

Exhibit A:

Then they decided to create an impromptu doghouse.

Exhibit B:

Why Lola needed to wear a Stars and Stripes bandana is beyond me.

Keep in mind, they are so little that Lola could "escape" through the bars. They were actually very content to be inside their "house."

By this point however, I think Lola started to be concerned. She gave me a look that said,

"You've got my back, right?"

Exhibit C:

I knew it was time for our doggie friends to go home when I heard uncontrollable giggling coming from the upstairs bedroom.

Brigitta and Kurt, suspects number one and two, emerged from the bedroom carrying sweet little Lola.

The only problem?

They gave Lola an Extreme Make-over using Build-A-Bear clothes.

Exhibits D and E:

There she is all ready for Spring training!

She was so patient and looked really cute in football pants.

We're crazy and I don't think we'll be getting these dogs back any time soon.

Mama Hollioni, I am so sorry! :)

I hope your dogs weren't traumatized when they got home.

Brigitta told me all about it tonight...but a picture says EVEN MORE. She looks so stinkin cute...and I am not even in to doggy clothing. We used to do that to our poor lil kitties..hmmm...wonder if that is why they never hung around very long:) ehhehehe

That is awesome! I love those dogs. They are so cute that I can't blame the Mishmash kids for wanting to dress them up!

You guys are awesome!

Awwwwwww, well when you get your own dog, then you only have to worry about them torturing YOUR dog!

Looking for something??
