Week 17: Highlights Including Jericho

Crossing the Jordan, Akhenaton and Queen Nefertiti, Achan and Ai plus King Tut. Yes we covered a busy time in history this week.

A lot of our focus was on the fall of Jericho.

Here are notebooking efforts:

Kurt (who was very excited that I let him use the typewriter. Yes, we still have an actual typewriter that I keep around for various projects)

Brigitta did her notebooking in the form on a newspaper article reporting the Fall of Jericho. It was very clever and nicely done...

And Leisl absolutely loves to notebook. Since there isn't as much "free" notebooking this year as there was last year, she really took her time. Here is her effort...

Because she loves it, we don't limit her (or any of the kids actually) to the 8 1/2 by 11 "box."

In case you are new around here, we're not really an "in the box" kind of family ;)

Our memory verse is Psalm 23, in music we are learning about Bach and our read aloud is still Treasures of the Snow by Patricia St. John.

I know there was "more" from this week but since we completed it two weeks I'm drawing a complete blank.
