Practically Speaking: Attachments In Order

I love finally having and using my KitchenAid mixer. My only problem was storing the attachments in a convenient spot.

I found a boxed set of two little shelves/ledges at Target for $9.99.

Enlisting the help of our very own Papa, I had him drill three holes and glue in pieces of doweling. It was quite easy (from what I heard) and after mounting the little shelf in the kitchen I have simple, convenient storage.

Now using my mixer is as easy as

What a fantastic idea!!!!!! Unfortunately, my kitchen walls cannot support anything hanging on them, but I could use that idea to hang it on the inside of one of my deep lower cabinets to use the space more wisely.
Thanks for the tip!!!
In joy, troye

Such a great idea, Lainie! So how do you like your kitchenaid - and how long have you had it?
I've had mine pretty much since we got married nine years ago and it's one of the best kitchen investments we've made! I use it - A LOT. :o) Your shelf turned out great!

Awesome! And it even looks like art, LOL!
I love my Kitchenaid. She's the workhorse of my kitchen. I made candy cane ice cream with her the other day. (Just vanilla with crushed candy canes--easy, peasy.) I have the cheese grater and meat grinders, as well as the pasta rollers--I think the cheese one gets used the most, LOL! But, I tell you, ground up pork tenderloin mixed with ground beef makes meatballs to die for, LOL!
Best of luck with your own little toy!

Troye what a wonderful idea to mount inside a cabinet door. I'll have to try that if I get more attachments!

Sherry- Thanks for stopping by!

Sarah-I've only had it for a couple of years. My mom got it for me for my 40th birthday. I love it!
I would love to get the grain mill attachment...

Mom2fur- ICe cream? In your mixer? Really? I have a Krups ice cream maker that friends gave me awhile ago. I made egg nog ice cream last year. I hope to do candy cane this year.

Thanks for stopping by everyone...
I hope to have time to check out the other WFMW posts later today

Oh wait, what was I typing about, oh yeah, the KA accessories shelf. It's a piece of art! What a great idea! I also like the idea of putting it inside a cabinet.
