Odds and Ends

I was run over by a ginormous migraine today!

I had such plans for the day too. I went to a baby shower earlier and somewhere along the line a migraine found me and rendered me useless, and I mean useless for the rest of the day.

I am very grateful for an understanding husband. If he didn't step in when I'm wiped out I don't know what I would do. Grocery shopping, dinner, dishes--he did it all and cheerfully too. I called him on my way back from the baby shower and when I got home he helped me get all medicated up and tucked me in bed in a nice, dark room.

While I'm thinking of it, I just want to say Thank You to all my friends that understand when I have to change plans at the last minute or need a favor because I'm too out of it to drive, etc...

Recently Andrea, Stacey and Elaine have come to my rescue. And KK is always so sweet being a migraine sufferer too. {{{Hi KK}}} We chatted on the phone earlier and it never phased her when my words were slurring.

And of course what would I do with my wonderful Nana and Papa?

Boy, I'm getting mushy over here. It must be the meds! LOL

Speaking of which, after medication and sleeping, I now feel much better and a little too well rested.

I am going to attempt to sleep now though so I don't goof up my sleep schedule even more.

But I did remember to add more titles to our Read Aloud section. I hadn't added any books in awhile.

I just wanted to check-in and say Hi.

I'll leave you with this awesome quote by St. Francis of Assisi that I found,

"Above all the grace and the gifts that Christ gives to His beloved is that of overcoming self."

Oh how I hate migraines. I have them occasionally also. It has been in our family but I'm not claiming it! In Jesus' name! I pray you are well soon. I know they are no fun. :(

Thank you for your prayers Kysha!

I am already doing much better. I let myself get too tired yesterday and then I smelled a really strong fragrance accidentally. That is my recipe for getting a really bad migraine :)
