It's Just Been One of Those Days

It's very cold for Portland Oregon. (21 degrees last night and not much higher during the day.)

Our furnace died yesterday.

The technician ended up in a ditch so they didn't think he could make our service call today.

But it was totally okay since we have food and clothes and a gas fireplace.

The Captain was just pulling into the garage so I thought I would be funny.

Then I found out that our furnace tech did make it and was also here!!

I was surprised they were here since they were supposed to call me when they were an half an hour out.

But that's okay right? You know, that they didn't call.

Although if they had called odds would have been, you know, better that I wasn't wearing

antlers on my head!

I went to the restroom after they left and realized this is what I looked like--the entire time they were here.

Oh you make me laugh Mom... I didn't realize you had antlers on... must have been because I was playing DS- whoops! He he.

The guys did seem pretty amused when they walked into the house. Hee hee.

Don't ya just hate it when that happens?

I didn't know you were supposed to take off your antlers when servicemen entered the home! :>)

(I keep giggling over your "Nana-isms" post too! My little girls call nail polish, "pol nailish" and they are 6 and 11- they just can't seem to break that one.)

Bahahahaha! I love it! Isn't that just the way it goes sometimes? You are so cute. What precipitated putting the antlers on in the first place?

Kim, is there ever any reasoning behind what I do?! Kurt had them out and I knew Karl was home so I put them on to be funny with him.

Then Papa says, "The furnace guys are here."

I'm laughing because I'm thinking he's talking about Karl and it takes me a minute to realize he is serious.

It took so long for me to wrap my brain around the fact they were here I forgot about my antlers!!

The are installing the new part sometime between 9 and noon today--we need some heat it's freezing in here!

btw- at least you didn't answer the door in your lingerie! ha ha!!
