Tuesday Night Prayer

We just got back from our prayer meeting.

The verse I posted earlier came up again so I think it is the verse to ponder on tonight as we submit our prayer requests.

If you are unfamiliar with what we're doing just check out the first post for Tuesday Night Prayer.

And now, "Lettuce" pray...

Trust in the LORD and do good;
Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness.
Delight yourself in the LORD;
And He will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the LORD,
Trust also in Him, and He will do it.
Psalm 37:3-5

Trust is the word that keeps popping out at me. I still struggle at trusting the Lord. My distrust disguises itself in many forms and tricks me for a while but when I think about it and get to the root of the situation, it is a lack of trust. Actually the whole verse is a great prayer when I put my name in it.

Lord, I lift up Ann to you and I pray that she would trust in Your goodness and faithfulness. I pray that she would perform the works You've ordained for her before the foundations of the world. Works that will glorify You, refine her and be a light to a lost world. Lord help her to desire what You desire for her and commit her way to You. But most of all Lord, I pray that she would delight in You, truly. Amen.

The people of California are in need of wisdom to understand the true meaning of marriage as God intended it to be.

I so appreciate your heart to pray for an entire state! That's huge and awesome :) And since this is a new thing on the Mishmash (taking prayer request) I'll remind you and everyone else that I want to pray for you in a personal way.

So with your original prayer request as the foundation, I offer up this prayer-

Dear Lord I pray that as You have laid the preservation of biblical marriage on this person's heart, You would give her direction, wisdom and power to be a voice of truth. I pray that she would accurately reflect Your heart of love to people. I pray that she would know Your scriptures to clearly teach what You have to say about earthly marriage and how it reflects the union of Jesus as the Head and the church body as His Bride. Amen.
