Bye-bye Beast

Tomorrow we finally start school. I know I'm not the only one who feels this way.
I went to the library today to pick-up our Book Basket books. Brigitta hovered and circled like a buzzard while I unloaded the crate. As soon as I finished she grabbed three or four and I didn't hear a peep out of her for a while. I asked her if she was a little "hungry" for school.
I received a very enthusiastic head nod while she kept reading!

So, now that we are officially back to it, I need to say, "Bye-bye Beast."
My organizational beast. I only let him out once or twice a year. Any more than that and he would try to run my life and rob my joy.

The Captain has been listening to Jon Courson's teachings on the Book of Numbers. To quote Jon, "Organization is a wonderful servant but a very hard master."
The Captain and I want our family to keep Jesus as our Master. Our Lord and our Master. "His yoke is easy and His burden is light." (Matt 11:30)

So as we enter this new season, we have peace about our decisions.

We have "agonized in prayer to the Lord before organizing our plan." And we are not trusting in "human analyzation but rather divine revelation."

Lord Jesus, here we are again. We offer up our family again to you and ask that You bless our school year. Lord, we are grateful for the provision and direction You have provided. By Your Spirit, may we give all honor and glory to You. Lord, help us to keep our focus on You and Your Word. May we be students of Your truth, Your mercy, Your grace and most of all Your love.
May we be a light for You this school year. We cling to Your promises Lord. We purpose to keep doing the next right thing while we watch for Your coming. Come quickly Jesus. But until then, may be persevere in faith, trusting in You for everything. Amen.
