Why is a thimble full of spice at the grocery store $8.00? I don't know but I rebel and buy our spices at either Costco or my ever favorite Cash N' Carry. There is a problem with that. Actually, there are two problems. The first is, I'm short. I can't really do much about that. Although in a story I will have to tell you sometime, I did gain over a quarter inch recently! Abby is not happy that I'm taller. She now has farther to go to pass me up. (grin)
Okay so I am so off topic here. Where was I? Oh, yes, problems. My other problem is that I don't have a lot of storage in my kitchen. I store our spices in the cabinet near the stove so they are handy. I can get those big spice containers in my cabinet 3 bottles deep. Great you say?! Ah, it wasn't always great. You see once they are in, I don't know what they are because all the lids are red. They all look the same. If I wanted something that wasn't in the front row, I had to pull everything out in order to look at the label.
Can we say Sharpie?

I do this too. Except I am looking down or across at mine so the name is written on the top of it, not the side of the top.
The prices of spices are so high! I buy in bulk at Winco or Costco too.
Oooh, I'll have to remember that if we ever move and our spices have to be stored in a drawer.
It's nice to meet you!
